HIL-TECH LTD. SAFETY, Guidance Lighting
The World's Toughest Safety, Guidance Lighting! LEDline® safety lighting Systems Are Used In a multitude of AREAS and extreme environments.
- HIL-Tech is the manufacturer of LEDline® safety guidance lighting, the world's toughest light source.
- LEDline® is used at airports; helipads; roads, tunnels, bridges, and barriers; in the marine and military, especially for Navies. LEDline® is used for lit in-pavement letters, numbers, signs, and logos creating hard-to-miss safety/guidance signs as it is being driven over. (FAA "Hot Spots" are areas where it can help to provide additional guidance). LEDline® is installed using a saw cut machine and glue so is by far the quickest, easiest-to-install visual aid, and is the least cost (Approx. 60% less). For a free no-obligation no-cost comparison, please contact HIL-Tech at

HIL-Tech's Latest IP69K Quick lamp Disconnect Connector
- Below is the latest, submersible, screw-together IP69K quick lamp disconnect connector. This is a completely sealed disconnect, (submersible) which allows for the replacement of the LED LEDline® lamp from its glued Mounting Plate and buried (non-contact), induction, power pickup connector. (Note: IP69K = Ingress protection (IP) rated connectors and the number (69) = This is the top IP-rated electrical connector system available on the market. This (IP) rating, is an internationally recognized scale that provides tested proven protection against environmental factors such as liquids and solids).
- LEDline® lasts a long time as each LED within the lamp is independently powered, so if one breaks prematurely the rest continue to function normally. As an indication of their resilience, all in-pavement, and other LEDline® applications come with a standard 1-year LIMITED WARRANTY. This 1-year LIMITED WARRANTY can BE UPGRADED to having an additional 3-year LIMITED WARRANTY, which means a total of 4 years LIMITED WARRANTY is available. (Please see HIL-Tech for all conditions).
Below is an LEDlineSunHBTM Omni-directional Unit with its embedded 12 x LEDS and 6 x Omni-directional optics. The lamp within its Mounting Plate, normally glued into a small pavement groove slightly below the surface, is connected to the buried induction power lines via the latest screw-together IP69K quick lamp disconnect. The IP69K Mounting Plate cover is next to it.
Below is the LEDline® Guidance Safety System, with its in-pavement Mounting Plate showing the female end of the IP69K connector, which is always attached to the buried-in glue induction power pickup connector. Also shown is the male and female end of the screw-together IP69K quick lamp disconnect.
For long-life in-pavement applications LEDline® guidance safety lighting must be induction-powered with HIL-Tech's non-contact (non-hardwired) Induction Power Pickups.
For long life surface mounted applications LEDline® safety guidance lighting units can be VDC, induction, or renewable solar/wind with batteries powered.
LEDline® guidance safety lamps Are completely sealed, waterproof, And an induction powered.
Below is a completely sealed LEDline® Induction Power Pickup Connector Unit, which has been threaded onto standard Direct Burial Wire. This non-contact (non-hardwired) induction power connector brings power to the LEDline® unit.
(Note: The completely sealed (non-contact non-hardwired) Induction Power Pickup Connectors are NOT physically connected to the buried-in glue induction power lines in any way. And, because they are non-contact non-hardwired for extra-long life, it is recommended that their power lines should NEVER be cut or spliced, or in any way compromised. This way, the Direct Burial Wire keeps all of its manufacturer's pristine cladding and protection intact, so over the years there shouldn't be any corrosion issues).
Below, both the omnidirectional LEDlineSunHBTM unit and the semi-directional LEDlineSunDVTM unit, with 12 x LEDs, are connected to the direct burial power line via their non-contact, non-hardwired, induction connections and top-of-the-line screw-together submersible IP69K disconnects.
LEDline® safety guidance Visual Aids Can Be Powered By the following sources:
• Mains; 90VAC – 220VAC.
• HIL-Tech’s VDC Power Supply.
• Airfield Series Circuit.
• Or Renewable Energy Sources Such as Solar or Wind Power with Batteries.
HIL-Tech Builds power Supplies; • MASTER CONTROLLERS with induction power; and • VDC Power Supplies, with or without, solar / wind power and battery arrays.
Master Controllers and their induction Power Modules are recommended for all in-pavement applications to ensure that the non-contact induction power to the LEDline® is produced, thus making the surrounding environmental factors, like traffic vibration, water, or chemicals like glycol or salt essentially irrelevant.
Master Controllers come in different sizes and can have from 1 - 6 independent Power Modules. Each Power Module is fully independently controlled and is induction power, energizing the induction power circuits of some 700m (approx. 2297 ft.) in length. (For longer required circuits contact HIL-Tech for information).
Each of these 700 m (approx. 2297 ft.) induction power circuits can light up some 25 to 30 x LEDline® units each with 12 x powerful, sunlight-visible LEDs. (Note: If there are only 6 x LEDs within the LEDline® lamps, (half the usual number), then the 700m (2297 ft.) induction circuit can be even longer, or the circuit can power up many more LEDline® lamps).

For barrier or surface-mounted installations of LEDline®'s safety guidance lighting: LEDline®'s VDC Power Supply Provides the power
With HIL-Tech's VDC power supply and, at each lamp position, HIL-Tech's Power Equalizers, VDC line voltage drops are eliminated and the last light on the VDC circuit is as bright as the first.
